First oops (windshield)...could have been worse
Just 900 miles young today...and a low-hanging tree branch caught my antenna as I was driving down a back road. Actually whipped the antenna back towards the windshield and snapped the edge of the glass and caused a 2" crack out from the point of impact.
Based on the noise, I fully expected to see extensive damage to my A-pillar or roof, but thankfully nothing beyond the windshield.
Even after insurance, a new windshield (OEM Ford) will set me back $400. Ouch.

Not sure what hurts more, self inflicted damage or someone else doing something stupid. My windshield didn't even last as long as yours but it was an idiot speeding through a road repair area that got me. In Canada a new windshield costs over $900 from a Ford dealership but fortunately my insurance brought it down to $100. Make sure you get factory glass put in and if you have lane departure camera's make sure they re-calibrate them.

Yes - absolutely demanding OEM Ford glass.
One side note - I have the auto high beam control WITHOUT the lane departure alert in my Lariat Ultimate, both of which use a similar camera. As they were asking me about options, they asked if I had the Lane Keeping Assist, to which I answered no. It would then bring up the incorrect glass. Ended up finally requesting the one WITH the lane keeping assist to get the right one. Point of the story: Make sure you double check the windshield being ordered if you ever need to replace.
