Keep an eye on the welds that hold the square tube bumper to the camper. That's where a setup like yours fails. The whole bumper torques and rips off. Lots of people use that setup and have no issues, but when it goes it goes big.

Ya, I'm aware it needs 'redneck' attention/checks. Not a jockey over bridge seams and such but I keep a eye on everything during fuel stops. Probably have 6-7k worth of miles on it. Usually needs to be snugged a notch every second or third fill. Tied/hooked at/on the frame end pretty much takes out alot of the twisting concern, but absolutely..it's not a perfect setup by any means.

I can fit all 4 bikes on top of the kitchen table when it is broken down. When we are using the kitchen table I just flip the plywood over for the benches and the fork mounts go down in the storage below the benches. Works great and the bikes are safe inside the camper.

Don't let one person sour you on the vast majority of the FTEers. There really is a lot of useful info and you can truly get good advise on here.

X2! Occasionally people expel gas in an elevator, doesn't mean you shouldn't use them...

Get off of your high horse, it doesn't suit you, especially when you are so wrong.

He qualified his post. His statement was accurate as it stood, without you meddling and trying to make it into something it isn't.
