Looks very good Bushpilot!

I'd put it on my list but I'm tapped out, maybe someday tho!

Thanks for sharing this!

i ordered one yesterday, will be here tomorrow.

is the wiring really as easy as grounding the unit and wiring to a aux switch wire?
is there anything that needs to be done after wiring to the aux switch?
I would like to use switch 1, is it the brown/green wire?

it is EXACTLY that easy.

I CUT zroadz harness (removing the relay and switch) since its not need if you use the up fitter wiring & switch).

I went a bit further and reused zroadz in-line fuse (soldering it back into the wiring harness)...Its unnecessary (since the up-fitter has its own fuse).

I use a ground point on the drivers fender well, near the up fitter fuse/relay box & wiring.

I am doing this install today.

I will be using upfitter switch 5 or 6 since it looks like the light has a 30 AMP draw from looking at the fuse it came with (30A) and the fact that the relay it came with was a 40A.

My light didn't come with instructions, but thanks to Bushpilot's pics, I'll be in good shape.

i received mine a couple days ago, looked at the install yesterday.
This wiring harness has me stumped.

I want to run to an aux switch. how do I do that with this harness?
what should be cut/spliced? which wire from the harness will go to the aux switch wire, the blue one?

bushpilot, you have been very helpful, but I need more help, lol

Kylant -

what aux switch? the one in the zRoadz kit? or one of the factory (interior mounted) up fitter switches?

just beyond that you'll find a bundle of wires (zip tied together) w/ the ends capped off (nothing attached to them)....the wires have a label around the bundle that identifies which wire goes to which switch.

select your switch/wire, attach the HOT side (red) wire of the lights to the upffiter of your selection...and ground the black wired to the fender (theres a ground wire /loop & bolt close to the up fitter relay/fuse box)....and you're DONE.

I would recommend using 5 or 6 based on amp draw.

You just need a red and black wire.

The Ford upfitter switch provides a relay and fuse in its circuit. Upfitter 5 or 6.

Took about 2 hours or so...

You can do it w/o removing the grill, but you need to fish your wire and plug it in first.
I mounted the bracket to the bumper then put the light on.
You will need to remove and trim the ACC cover, but that's not bad.

Thanks for the install pics Bushpilot.

I'm usually a pretty easy going person, but some of these jokers really start to induce some road rage when they run 3, 4 and 5 light bars going down the road.

One guy I pass nearly every day on the way to work switched his 150's lights out for those angle eye like lights and several LED bars. When I'd pass him in my car, the high beams didn't really get his attention when I flashed them at him.

A couple of times I passed him in the 250 and those LED high beams did get his attention.

So he blinked his high beams back at me.

Except, he wired all his lights to the low beam circuit only and when he blinked his high beams at me all of his lights went out. I started laughing so much I almost wrecked the truck.

I use mine on back roads where there is no traffic approaching and I shut it off long before anyone approaching has a chance of being blinded.
