I went with new 160cc/80% injectors (just ordered them a few days ago). I've been on again/off again researching/lurking about injectors for years so I would make an educated choice when the time came...and it came at least a year earlier than my wallet was planning. I went with P.I.S. (Full Force was a close second).

The T-500 was pre-emptive. I had 4 oil leaks last summer in the HPO system. I knew that at least one of the seals/plugs was leaking on the pump itself so I sent it off to have it rebuilt while I was elbows deep in the valley for a couple of weeks. I was going to either tear the HPOP apart and re-seal it or have Joey make it into a T-500. I opted for the latter.

Brian - Injector wise: exactly where I'm at too... and have been doing on these threats you'll have to keep me posted on results

haven't noticed any oil leaking from the hpop but I do have some oil soak down the back passenger side of the block to the started / tranny lines - not sure what that's all about but at some point I'd like to plug that one up - it's been there isn't I bought her

There is a drain hole in the top of the block that lets top end leaks drain right where you are talking about. Check up top for oil in the valley and see where it's coming from.

Karlow,
I have not witnessed one personally but as I understand it they rev the engine up to ~2 to 3K for a period of time (seconds I think) then release the throttle and quickly floor it again momentarily. This to check for excess smoke. It is done three times with the first one being a "freebie". Sounds like a good way to do some damage to me.

I just don't see how California is that desirable to live in, but maybe I am missing something other than the taxes, cost of living and insane laws.

Does northern CA have to play by the same rules as southern CA, or is it county/city specific?

To be honest.... I like the 160/30's....but now that I don't have a huge horse trailer to tug around.....I'd consider going back to stock splits.

I'll check that out today - since I'll be poking around under the hood. My mechanic friend seems to think it's " the big allen head oil plug at the back of the block that needs to be snugged down" ?? We'll see...

I do prefer NorCal , it's home to me but unless you've got a "green thumb" not much up there for a decent income - and yes smog regs in Mendocino Co. are much different last I checked.
I've had my eye on Idaho for a couple years now - if I can talk my boss into letting me work remote (I'm a produce salesman), all would be right in the world...

Don't really know the answer to this question. Only what I have experienced. I do think it's possible that there may be some stricter requirements in some "smog prone" areas.

County specific.

Last I checked, for gas vehicles, some county's actually require the smog test be done on a dyno, thankfully most don't.
