Forscan and Forscan Lite Essentials

I have Forscan and Forscan lite a USB module to connect to a laptop for changes and a WIFI adapter for iPhone monitoring.

Could someone provide a concise list of important and useful perimeters to monitor or change?

I started to read the Forscan spreadsheet thread but it is just way too long and time consuming to read and weed through each page to find what I am looking for. I'm not trying to be lazy, but at last check it's up over 80 pages and that is just discouraging. I need a Cliffs Notes version.

I definitely want to make it to where I can have high beams and fog lights and monitor DEF, oil percentage and DPF regeneration but other than that I'm lost. What am I missing out on?

Did you see the google doc? It has all the main items you would want to, or are able to, change.

This is one of the first things posted in the big FORScan post but here you go.

Lists most of the major things people would want to change.

I'm aware of the things that can be changed.

I was looking more for what are the key perimeters to monitor.

What are the ideal/key things to monitor with Forscan Lite?

You can really just take your pick on what is interesting to you. Commonly monitored values are EGTs, Oil Life Remaining, DPF Soot %, Engine Oil Temp, Engine Coolant Temp, etc. Here's what I was watching a month ago but I change the view all the time.

Can a FORSCAN adjustment allow for the rear cab mount camera to be viewed while driving over 6mph ?

It would be nice to check the contents in the bed while driving down the road on occasion.

The New Fiat Ram allows in motion camera usage I believe.

That’s ridiculous that you can’t use the camera to check your load in the bed while driving over 6mph ....Wonder why the Fiat Ram allows it but Not Ford .

Best thing they could come up with to compete with Ford's 360* cameras?

didn't see it in the list... any way to change the auto brights disable speed? my sub has a 25mph speed limit.. the 35 mph limit on the headlights forces manual engagement.. seems crazy to have to override auto every time...

No and that limit is the same for my wife's SUV and it drives us both nuts. Our sub is 25mph as well with no street lights, is heavily wooded and lots of curves. Only way to override her SUV is to switch to manual lights vs auto. It is literally the dumbest thing ever and I have no explanation as to why. You would think it would be the opposite. Slower speeds would indicate a need for better lighting. The sensors would keep lo beams on if other vehicles were in the mix so I cannot for the life of me understand the rationale. I can tell you if any of the engineers lived in my neighborhood they would quickly rethink that design...

another instance... we are on a country road, and the brights are on..
coming to a T intersection, which is also dark, no street lights...

before I even stop, as soon as the MPH drops below 35, the brights turn off.. no other cars coming.. no lights around...
