T-19 tranny..

Will a 7.3l Powerstroke bolt up to a t-19 4 speed? Looking to do the swap soon and it would help so much if it did. If not, what would be the best and cheapest route to go about it. Thanks in advance!

The T-19 has a separate bellhousing, unlike the trannies that normally attach to the PSD. If the donor tranny came from behind an IDI, then it should work. Seems silly to run a non-OD trans behind a PSD, however.

But your question begs another question - what TRUCK is this happening in? IOW, are you looking to transplant a T-19 transmission into a PSD truck? or are you looking to transplant a PSD engine into a present/former IDI truck with a T-19 tranny? They're vastly different projects, the latter being a major undertaking. If the latter, what year truck?

Be sure to check the forward bell housing for cracks first. Mainly around the clutch fork hole and the clutch fork pivot.

A t19 is bulletproof, but the crappy cast aluminum bell housing is not...

What year TRUCK?

You're aware that this is a LOT more than an engine swap, right?

Especially all the computers. IDI = zero. PSD = multiple.
