I know there are lots of threads on this but im not seeing any with a plug like what i got...wiring harness, ignition module, and coil all came off a 79 f150, the plug i have in my hand in the picture where does that plug into?? You can see the plugs to the right are all i have left from the factory wiring when i removed the TFI crap. Also how to i hook up the ignition system?

You need the distributor or MAYBE just the pick-up coil to match the ing module.

I've never seen the square gray plug before. What year / engine combo did you get the wiring harness from?

I don't mind doing my own wiring, but its good to know there's an "off-the-shelf" harness to be had out there. Thanks for the link.

The square plug has the oil pressure, water temp, and I think the + side of the coil. In 1980 they went to a round plug, probably the one that is above your hand, just have to figure out which wire does what and splice things together. If you still have the wires that came out of the truck, should be able to find the other half of the round plug and use it.
