I bought a '08 F550 that has electric locks and a keypad on the door. I would like to see if there is a remote unlock module so I can unlock it with a key fob. I only received keys to this truck so I am not sure if it has a module. Anyone know where it might be?

how do I go about finding or resetting the door code on an older truck? I bought a used 08, got the keys, but have no clue as to what the door combination is

 

On an 08 Super Duty, the RKE functionality is integrated into the SJB, there is no separate module as there had been on older models.

Try putting the system into the fob-programming mode (instructions are probably in your owner's manual). If it enters programming mode, then it's ready to add new fobs.

Use a scan tool (or Forscan with appropriate adapter) to pull the data from the SJB's memory. There *might* be a label on the SJB with the factory default keypad code written on it. You'd have to do a visual on yours to see if there's a sticker or label.
