1995 Ford E350 extended passenger VAN--> What is a good price?
Hi all
I have an offer for a 1995 Ford E350 extended passanger VAN.
69700 original miles
The VAN looks really good, but I have no experience with cars
1995 Ford e350 van. 4.9 L inline 6 motor
I'm looking for a VAN to rebuilt them to a camper VAN for a long trip across North America.
I have a offer for 8500 Canadian Dollar, so approximately 6300 USD.
Is it a fair price? The car looks in great conditions, with low miles, but it is 22 years old.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers
Eik

My opinion........for what's it worth.......you should be able to find some thing 10 years newer for that kind of money........'05+
Another thing.........the 4.9 (300 cuin) was a good hard working engine, mainly for city driving, a real dog on the highway.
Finding a similar van with a 5.4 would be a big benefit. You'll have the power you need when you need it, and help with the mpg's.
I know your kind of limited on what's available in maple leaf land, but I'm sure something could be found.

I agree with wildman25, it seems like too much. There are contributing factors, is it extended roof? Conversion? Showroom shiny? 4x4?
Regardless, my '94 f150 has the 4.9L inline 6 and it doesn't like to go 70mph very long and goes nowhere fast. I imagine the van would weigh much more so it would be worse. The positive side, it's VERY hard to kill the inline 6.
I would keep looking. Good luck!

Are you already in North America or in another country and looking to buy one for a trip? Some of the prices I see people asking for used vans seem ridiculous. I got lucky when I bought mine. I search Craigslist several times a day and set up alerts. I was looking for quite a while for the right deal. The guy posted it on New Years Eve. When everyone else was partying, I was looking for a van. He posted horrible pictures and the van had garbage in it. However, it was listed as only having 99k miles for $1,500. It looked better in person than in the pics. Deals are out there, but you have to be ready to pounce when they come available.
This is what it looked like when I bought it.
After I cleaned it up and put some vinyl wrap on the windows.
