Why would my 99 have a DAC2 in it? I've had the truck for 14 years, only took it to a dealer once like 9 yrs ago for cps recall. I read all 99 6spds have AWA. Now I have to send the ts 6pos back for reburn. gahhh

That was a pretty bad assumption. I have a PCM list showing 43 different PCM's available for all ZF6 model year 99's (this includes both early and late), and that's only for F250/F350. There's another whole bunch for the F450 and up ZF6 trucks.
You need a reburn because it doesn't work right???
What are the problems?
I've worked on a bunch of 7.3 trucks. I'm convinced they often swapped stuff around on the production line if they needed to to make stuff work. Any list is just a guideline!!

He needs to have the correct calibrations flashed to the chip because he made the assumption that his 1999 had an "AWAx" PCM based on internet "research".
What are the problems?
Since it's a manual, the chip will physically work ok with a few small caveats. However, certain things will be off.....like if he uses some kind of scan tool and finds that his tachometer and data acquisition program don't jive.
Any list is just a guideline!!
ESPECIALLY if it's found online.
To the OP, send the chip back and have them put on whatever calibrations the company sells for a 1999.5-2001 manual pickup (likely VOAA7P6 in your case with the DAC2).
