June chat - but no gloom allowed

Charly and I kicked off the month with a G2G. I had to see his 2001 Excursion 4x4. The black looks great!
No Gword this afternoon Bill.

Wrapped in 3 layers of foil. This keeps it from tearing through, and depending on where you place it, from getting too hot.
Seal up nice and tight.
Find a hot spot and stuff them in. These were laying right on the intake and exhaust manifold. You'll have to find a spot on your particular engine. I think somewhere up on the intake area would work, but maybe take longer. 2 hours was about perfect for us.

Yeah, having gotten rid of all the smog stuff that goes with a carb helps.
I think you could do it on top of an intake manifold. Might take longer, but full morning of driving should do it.

Charly repaint his ex?
dad would talk of doing the same thing back in the 70's when he was trucking then, set it up on the exhaust manifold and run a load. About an hour later enjoy.....just keep a eye on the pryometer and not overheat the turbo or your lunch!
on another side note, just brought this home today from pearblossom. Paid 200 for it. The bed on my pickup is hammered, and i need want a work truck, me and the boss have worked out a deal and agreements and the better of the ideas was to reconfigure my truck than to buy another truck and go through the hassle of a new to us unproven vehicle.
still need to fix the transmission, but this was too good of a deal to miss. So now ill start putting some time into this bed getting it re worked to fit the truck, and get the few dents pounded out and repaint it white.

Should be a fun project Justin.
Nice little trailer to boot?
Charly smashed up his Excursion, so this is replacement, but much better IMO.

the little trailer i aquired a while back and used it today with a quick and dirty tounge dolly to winch the bed onto the borrowed car trailer. The bed was sitting on blocks and only 2 of us to move it.
