This one is Eco2.7
1966 F100 4x4 with the 2.7 Eco drivetrain and suspension, steering, 14" brakes etc. This is one of those total budget builds anyone can do at home on the cheap. This engine is so tiny and lightweight it
will fit in about anything. If you got a "FORD" it will fit.
This was the donor truck a 2300.00 bid online. Plus tax n fees of course. It actually ran and "drove" (even tho LF was messed)

79 Ford Bronco
Anyone thinking of doing a 3.5 eco into any project the technology is now there to make this swap simple at a very reasonable cost vs even doing a proper rebuild on any ford v-8 along with a AOD upgrade.
Probably not any Ford platform the 3.5 eco cannot be adapted too.
1966 F250 I call Eco1
Attachment 192156
On this project i integrated the F150 dash and electronics as this being my daily driver and wanted all the creature comforts.
Since I wanted it to be able to pull 10,000 lbs safely I also used electronics for Stability Control, Trailer Sway Control, Large 14" brakes with full ABS etc
Attachment 192157
Getting close to 7000 miles since swap. Without question the best driving vehicle and most fun vehicle I have ever owned.
Its been on the drag strip, AutoCross and Road Trips (800 miles furthest so far) Its been fantastic to drive.
So anyone thinking about doing the swap into anything all I can say is go for it! 65-79 truck, 78 & up bronco etc. Drop one in your lawnmower or whatever you so chose. It can now easily be done.
With just a "Tune" I am making 420 HP and 532 lb ft of TQ at the wheels!
Under not so good conditions ran 13.03 @ 105 1/4 mile.
Did great on the AutoCross too. Just a fun daily

[QUOTE=Boss9F100;18001764]The one in 1966 4x4 is a 2.7
The other 2 swaps are both 3.5 eco's
I assume that my locations are not anywhere near yours. I had a fee few other questions if anyone can help me. Should I drop a 3.5 liter ecoboost and get that 400 +horsepower, will my original axles and frame be ok? I have heard of frames bending under torque stress, and the same for axles not ready for the hp.

9" rear will easily handle the so smooth power output of a 3.5 Eco.
I actually have someone from Northern Cal who wants the 2.7.
No issue with stock frame of bronco.
400 RWHP 500 RWTQ is not that difficult to obtain.
Add the Ford GT turbo's and expect 475+ RWHP with just a tune. (What I did on Eco2)

Would it be possible to get some of those pm details from you? Definitely interested in buying engine and tranny for ecoboost swap and wanted to learn a little more on the subject. Thanks
