Going to try this. A rough bead with a friction dot under where the new clamp goes.

Talked to my buddy about it and this is what he came up with after some thought.

Guess we'll find out after I get it started later this week

Unfortunately they dont, the advantage I see them having over the RR IC boots is that they are more forgiving when it comes to installing, this one is rated at 50 PSI running pressure.

I also forgot to add that when I intalled the RR boots on my old work the passenger side boot on the IC side kept popping off, even when i tighten the snot out of it and using a new clamp( and yes it was the correct size boot). Never figured out why so I just installed the stock one.

Thanks for the info, guys.

Just to be clear, I'm not saying the RRD boots are bad or any problem with them. In MY situation a longer one would be helpful, but the mod of the CAC tube might be the solution.

As for the clamps, however, diameter is diameter. The clamps are too small for the boots in the package to fit over the spider with the nut installed and the straight T-bolts only increase the difficulty of installing wrap-around style.

Four extra threads on a bolt can't be that expensive

But in any case, good to know there are options and solutions out there that others have used.

Didn't happen on any of my personal trucks. But it did happen on our ladder truck at work with a big cummins in it. Loud bang and the pipe hit the cab next to my leg. Sounded like we hit a car!!
