The switch on the brake pedal has nothing to do with the red BRAKE light in the cluster.

I was talking about the e-brake pedal switch, since in the original post they said, "My E-brake light stays on all of the time." You of all people should've realized that.

I will unplug the sensor on the master cylinder tonight and see if that helps.

I learned long ago not to assume information that is not explicit or clear. Use of ambiguous terminology leads to very imprecise results.

parking brake light stays on

My 2019 does it also. I put truck in park and put brake on and off a few times. Sometimes just pulling the handle a few times corrects it. I’m going to investigate further, lubricate cable, handle and pedal parts. I haven’t checked the fluid level, low brake fluid usually indicates brake wear. I only have 18K miles and that light would not go out from messing with the parking brake. It seems to happen intermittently on my truck.

E brake light stays on

This was an EZ fix for me. The switch worked fine. When I pressed it FULLY with my finger the light went off. The metal tab on the parking brake pedal assembly was not FULLY pressing on the switch. I bent the tab about 1/8” to make more contact with the switch and it solved the problem.
