cleaning micro fiber towels / tonno cleaner

What do you guys use on micro fiber towels in the washing machine?Sometimes it's hard to get all the wax and polish off i.e. not good at absorbing water after using and washing. I don't want to have to buy a special cleaner.

How about the best tonno cover cleaner/treatment?

I use microfiber towels in vintage phone restoration, and I have had all kinds of wax, polish, grease, oil, and paint on them. I have been using the same towels for about 6 years now, and have never had a problem with removing stains or waxy stuff from Microfiber. In our household, we use the hottest possible tap water (plus the hottest water setting) in the washing machine with all clothes. I think that's the key to getting waxy stuff out of towels; just use the hottest water you can.

I simply put them in the washing machine with no other items, and no softener, bleach or other additive. Works for me?

I use just Tide, but I often run the pre-soak cycle with no detergent first, just to help loosen the gunk up. Also, I wash them in hot, no bleach.

When drying, I would recommend not using a dryer sheet, it can add a trace residue that will come off when buffing.

For my tonneau, I use the Mother's leather/vinyl cleaner. Works great, and last for 3+ months keeping the cover black.

I live by myself, the microfibre stuff, truck towels, all go in with the rest of the wash, no bleach, no smell good stuff, nothing, then throw it all in the dryer. No one knows but me, and you guys now.
I use Aerospace 303 on my soft tonneaus, tires, and any other plastic stuff, on the exterior. I wipe it with an applicator sponge thingy.

I put mine in a bucket with a lid, and cover towels with hot tap water, and pour a full bottle of Rubbing Alcohol in. Let them soak till the water is cold, rinse and put them in the washer on a Hot wash Cold rinse setting using Tide with the built in bleach. Also don't use Clorox or fabric softener. If you guys are doing any Varnishing or working with oil base paints, do not use fabric softener on any of your rags. It contains silicone and it will ruin your finish. Another source of finish ruining silicone is deodorant! I use rubbing alcohol to get rid of it before showering, before I do a project.
