Crappy Autozoo parts

Had to replace my Duralast Gold batteries. Just put them in Oct 2011. Didn't even make it to 6 years

Yeah they cost more but if they last that long it's worth it. Put in another set. We'll see if these do as well.

My Gold's didn't make it two years, however they were under warranty, so free replacements. The local Autozoo at the time of failure - as you affectionately call it - didn't have Gold in stock, so they gave me Platinums. They didn't last three years, but still under warranty. My current set runs out of warranty next year, but so far so good. So maybe crappy parts, but I can't complain about the service...

Actually the "Crappy" part was tongue in cheek. I thought 5 1/2 yrs was pretty good for batteries in a diesel and just wanted to share in case someone is trying to decide what to get.

Autozone is really not bad at all. You just have to remember where you are kinda like shopping at harbor freight, you often get what you pay for.

I never got that many years out of a set but everyone has seen my cables now.

The things that impress me are, they always have my warranty stuff by phone # and they never give me flack about these batteries being a set. If 0ne tests bad I need a set to complete the repair, no problem.
