well the whole aluminum gauge cluster thing didn't work out

The guy I had welding it for me got it to hot and ruined it. So I'm going another route
hopefully something like this.

How hard is it going to be to get to those nuts that hold down the dash pad?
Iíve had the dash pad out of all the trucks. No big deal, but you need to remove the cluster and the glove box liner. Thereís more work room if you donít have AC, but even if you do, itís not that bad.

Thank you for the reply Papabear. I already have everything out, I was referring to installing the dash pad when all is finished and how much trouble it may be if I don't have a removable instrument cluster. The one in the picture above doesn't appear to be removable in and of itself.

Hmmm...I can see where it might be a challenge to work behind the dash!

The pad has studs all the way across that are secured to the dash frame by nuts. It's gonna be a touch reach up from under the steering column.

The other "nuts" look like the plastic inserts for license plates. Maybe check that section at the auto part to see of they match up.

What happened to the a.c. vents? My wife insists on it or she refuses to ride in my F-150
in hot weather.
