They appear to be simply held into the hole in the hood with a plastic clip that is built-in. Digging out the broken piece in the tube might take some time but it shouldn't be too much longer than changing wiper blades. I'll let you know when they finally come in if someone doesn't beat me to it.

I changed the nozzles and the hose. Took me all of 10 minutes max. The nozzles were so brittle that they crumbled when I tried to squeeze the clips to get them off.

Any thoughts on how to prevent this from happening again? If it's a heat-from-the-engine issue, couldn't they be covered with some expanding foam or a heat-shield screwed into the hood supports? Maybe the combination of both?

Opened the hood over the weekend and I immediately noticed a broken sprayer. New Amazon kit arrives today. Doesn't look like much to install.

Thought I would post a few pictures and a comment or two.

This project takes about 10 minutes, including taking the pictures. Anyone can do this.

These are the parts that were sent from Amazon. All Ford parts:

First I worked on disconnection of the hose from the white clip on the old unit.

This clip exists on the new part, just pull this one out of the hood.

Push the clips together on the underside of each sprayer. My sprayers fell apart when I pushed on the clips.

This white piece (blue circle) just pulls out of the black plug (yellow circle). The part that you see in the yellow circle will get re-connected to the white clip on the new hose.

Now the old unit is 100% removed from your truck. Two holes in the hood and no spray.

This is how easy the new sprayer pushes in. Push both sprayers into the hood.

The white clip pushes onto the black connector:

Push the hose on the passenger sprayer:

I attempted to use my wiper washers this morning on the way to work. Nothing out of the driver side and only a dribble from the passenger side. My first thought was they ingested small particles and just needed a cleaning. Upon opening the hood the rubber hose routed to the drivers side nozzle was laying on top of the engine. Dang 37 months and only 38k miles and they are failing already!

Thanks to you fine folks posting in this thread I was ready and had replacement nozzles on the shelf.

Yeah, both nozzles fell apart on mine after a few years from new and it was garage kept at the time. OEM replacements have been fine.
