Popped the cold side intercooler pipe

Boom, it was loud and it was close to home so I limped back.

That's the cold side if I'm seeing it correctly. Looks exactly like mine...

Yes, right at throttle body and plate. I was surprised it wasn't all coked up at 107 k.

Sorry it was cold side. I did hot side a few weeks ago and had it on my mind. Bought the "spare" but didn't put it on yet. Senior moment !

This cold side is a snap to replace compared to the hot side. Probably gonna wish I did an upgraded aluminum version one day !

Truck is stock and I drive like grandpa. Hell....... I am grandpa ! Lol. Tow a medium size 5th wheel and an enclosed car hauler from time to time. Truck has been good other than vacuum pump leak, batteries, brakes and normal wear stuff. Had a 2001 7.3 before this one and loved it too.

Rudy's shows the same H&S that some others are using. Is there a different version?

I just broke down and ordered the H&S. Every other brand has fit complaints either here or on Amazon. Not something I want to deal with.

Yes, Rudy's made their own kit and sell it on Amazon. Why it is not on the Rudy web site is beyond me.
Amazon Amazon

Two 5-Star ratings and a one star from a guy who couldn't be bothered to make an offset bracket for the power steering reservoir. I do wonder why Rudy's didn't provide that inexpensive part.
