Since I'm fairly new to the super duty world I still have a lot to learn about them.
I'm on vacation in North Carolina and stumbled across a 2008 F350 SC 4x4 with a blown 6.4, it's a super clean truck other than some light front end damage, at some point a new bumper, drivers fender and headlight have been replaced.
my concern is the frame, there's a kink or Bend in the frame on the drivers side near the transfer case, it appears to be intentionally stamped there for clearance purposes. Just want to confirm with someone that this is supposed to be there.
I would like to set my 5.9 cummins and NV4500 down in it that I have sitting in my garage. Thanks for your help.

I've looked at several 08-10 4x4 super cabs and have not seen this bend or kink in any of them plus i found evidence that this truck was hit harder than the previous owner lead me to believe..
My solution is I parted it out. I bought another 08 with blown 6.4 cheap this time a F350 crew cab long bed, just as clean as the north carolina truck but bed beat up so took bed from super cab truck and sold off the rest

 

If you ever have a doubt about whether a vehicle has frame damage take it to a collision place and have their guy look at it, they can tell you right away if it is frame damage or not.
