Greetings from the Pacific Northwest!
Hello from Idaho. My name is Dale, I’m 56, married for 33 years to the same great woman, have two grown children, a son 27 and a daughter 23. I’ve had at least one Ford truck for as long as I can remember, sometimes more…LOTS more! My daily drivers are a 94 Ranger Super cab, 4.0 v6, 5 sp 4x4, and a 98 Explorer 4.0 v6 automatic 4x4. OK, so those are wanna-be Fords. I have a 78 F150 4x4 with a 4 speed and a 351 v8. I have 2 new project trucks, a 1968 F250 2wd camper special with a c-6 automatic and a 390 engine, and a 1971 F250 4x4 with a 4 speed and a 360 engine. My plan is to swap the engines between the 2 trucks so that I end up with an F250 4x4 with a 4 speed and the 390 engine. That’s my keeper truck. The 68 will get a paint job and be sold to finance the improvements to the 4x4. I got the pair for $450, so I can’t get hurt. They both run and have rust free and dent free bodies. The 71 will be my SHTF truck that will still be operable after the EMP goes off. They don’t build them like that anymore!
