'98 Expedition Fuel pump-out
We've recently gotten a '98 Expedition at the FD to drill on, and we need to pump the fuel out before cutting it up and lighting it up. Battery is already out so my plan was to use a 14V cordless tool battery to pump the fuel out - I've done this before applying the voltage directly to the fuel pump.
I think the fuel tank needs to be dropped to get access to the fuel pump on the Expedition, yes? In light of that, I thought about applying 14V to pin 87 of the relay socket (relay removed). Would I also need to connect a GND circuit to pin 85?
I can disconnect the fuel rail line in the engine bay and connect up a long line to a 5 gal jug.
Thoughts?
