My 2007 Ford Expedition EL gets confused about what gear it should be in. At certain speeds, the transmission will rapidly shift between two gears. If I turn off the overdrive it seems to get better. There are no OBDII codes.

Any ideas what could cause this?

 

if you are running at no more than 40 mph, OD should be locked out........................
