bushwacker oe or extend a flare???

Hello guys,
I can't decide which flare would look better....I got to do something right off cause I just got my new wheels and tires in. What I have is a bds 2" level and for the wheels and tires, they are 22x10 -24 fuel mavericks with 35x12.5 nitto ridge grapplers. I do like the look of some tire poking out maybe an inch or so, but afraid if I get the extend a flares they may cover the entire tire, but on the other hand dont know if the oe style would be enough coverage, lol. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!!!

I'd go with the extend a fenders. If they cover the tire completely, that would be nice, but they won't. It'll be fine. I think there's a few trucks here with that setup.

They're only 1.75".

Thank you Buliwyf! Anyone else with different opinions? Pictures of similar setup would be great if they could share

Flare-Flap

You want to protect your paint due to the width increase in tires; common bolt-on.
1) You want to save your paint.
2) You like the more aggressive look with the tire outside the fender well.

OEM flares will give you maybe a 1/2” of coverage, but if painted, will more than likely get rock chips. There are flare manufacturers such as Bushwacker whom offer a models with 1” of coverage up to 2 1/2”— the more coverage the less rocks/mud/debris hitting your truck.

I recently was looking king for floor mats and noticed these flare-flap on Husky’s website.

Husky Flare Flap

this gives you a little coverage where it counts & will work as a mud flap too. Just a thought

I guess mine are OE.

I like them better but I can see why you'd want extend a fenders.

Do you have a part number on these? I can't find the street flares for the 17/18s. Everywhere I look only has the OE or the pocket style from Bushwacker.

Yeah, those are OE flares then. From what I can tell, BW doesn't make "street" flares for the 17/18s.

Neither, I finally gave up on mine (extend a flare). I just never could get the fit and gasket right enough to suit me.
