Loud whining sound when I accelerate (Help!)

So I have a 06 f350 6.0 and this started to happen yesterday.
I was driving and all my temp gauges were ok says the tuner, but I noticed when I accelerated and went above 8psi the noise got significantly louder and wouldn't go above 17psi so the cause of this sound is making lose pressure somewhere.

I check the hot side of the inner cooler pipe and boots for cracks or tears(nothing)
I checked the cold side and the plastic seems to be in good shape except where the flex part meets the inner cooler had some little cracks in it, so I taped the **** out of it ( temp lol,I ordered sinister pipes today)
I check the Intake for cracks, didn't see any.

Noise is still there and the loss of power.....so I'm at a loss!

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Sounds like the exhaust y pipe bellow may be cracked, they will make some high pitch noise when they do. it's the pipe that feeds the turbo

I just checked what I can see obviously I'd have to take the cab off to see the top of the y pipes but the bottoms of them seem to be in good shape.

You can't tell by looking at the outside of the bellows if they are cracked. Mine would make a whine almost like a kettle boiling at around 15psi depending on the tempature. They looked good from the outside but were very loose and obviously broken when I got the y pipe out. Good luck.

The top of the driverside bellows looks like it's leaking fairly dark in color. Is there any soot on the firewall behind the bellows.

I see soot on fire wall at top of bellows. Might try sliding a piece of tinfoil in there and drive it to see if it soots that up.

Wrap a white cloth around a long screwdriver or extension and reach up there and rub it around the bellows and see if you get soot on it. One of your bellows kind of looks like mine did when it started leaking, and you couldn't hardly see it without it coming out.

Hopefully this stuff is the issues, will still check the bellows cause I do see soot. Will updated thanks for the help guys!

Intake was cracked where it meet the turbo, so I purchased a sinister intake. Will update Sunday! <br/>Cold side intercooler pipe was cracked where it meet the intercooler. Purchased sinister pipe!

Elbow O-ring was trash, bought sinister elbow. Will update Sunday!

Hot side intercooler pipe was fine, but I bought a sinister one to match the other side.

You will be lucky if he is evan on this site anymore. You would be better off starting a new thread with what your problem is.
