beer can spacers

I was dying to get a new set of comp bb roller rockers. But I couldn't afford ta get the 7/16 studs for em. I had ta have em and just bought em. Then me an my buddy Jeb got an idea ta just make spacers for ma 3/8 studs and run the new rockers so we cut apart the beer cans that were piling up and cut some strips and jus wrapped em around the studs and shoved the rockers right on down nice an tight. Whatcha all think

A late April fools day ....

I have been using that method for years. But one additional thing I would add is to install some "aluminum magnets" under the valve cover so in the unlikely chance that the repetitive action of the rocker movement hammers out small bits of aluminum into the oil then the "aluminum magnets" will catch it. I save the aluminum chips and when I get a coffee can full of them I take it to my recycler and use the money to buy another can of beer.
