1967 seat covers on a 65?
After debating the many options of replacing my front seat, I decided that best blend of look/difficulty/cost would be to rebuild the foam myself and purchase some pre-made seat covers. I like the look of these 67-72 seat covers MUCH better than those listed for my year .
Will those fit my stock seat frame? Seller could not tell me. I plan on getting raw foam and cutting to shape. Slight variation in seat contour could be OK if it fits the frame. Alternatively, can you suggest an upholstery place that makes these covers that is knowledgeable about these trucks?

If intend using the 65 bench seat believe the 67-72 are slightly wider. If have not done so, suggest remove seat and determine if the tracks are in good condition and estimate cost of reconditioning to include the cost of foam, wire, fabric, etc.?
Seem to recall seat tracs same 65 thru 72; however, the 67 thru 80's bench seats all have the same width which opens a number of options, one can mix and match bench seat backs with seat.
Suggest shop and compare prices; I went thru SMS auto fabric, request series of free fabric samples, once I decided on type of material and color before tackling the 'do it myself' upholstery task I salvaged later model seat out of an 87 Lariat $45 that were in better condition, swapped tracs, then went to a couple upholstery shops for quotes. Found a shop used same supplier and they applied their discount to the price of redoing the seat for total cost of $350, this was over 10 years ago, questionable whether a shop will come close to that?
In event decide to go the 'do it yourself' route posting 'how to' for info purposes. Author originally posted in Classic Truck Magazine, which is now Rod Rod?

Anyhow, food for thought??

It looks like assuming covers will fit between years is a bad idea. I have considered getting a newer bench seat so I will not have to rebuild foam, but I like the simplicity and style of the old seats.
I have found a couple of other online options that look like a good pattern.
Ford Truck Bench Seat Cover, F-100 Standard Cab, 2-Wheel Drive, Vinyl W/ Vinyl Insert, 1961-1966 - Macs Auto Parts

I will check a couple of other upholsterers locally as well. I went to the most popular guys around. They had some real show cars in there they were working on, a little out of my league. Thanks for the ideas Dave
