Did some digging, but can't find a thread or 'mahal post on how to remove and replace doors. Anyone recall a thread that might show this?

What's there to say on the subject? Remove door hinge bolts from the door frame (support door in open position on a step stool or stand) once bolts come out the door is off. If your door has power windows/locks/speakers, be sure to disconnect the wires first.

The door hinges allow adjustment and the striker plate allows for adjustment. So there is some fiddling required. Just snug the mounting bolts up, but don't tighten fully, then you can push-pull the door around so it aligns with the fenders/cab properly before tightening fully.

If you have good paint on the truck, put a couple of layers of painters tape on the door edges and cab to prevent scratches as you man-handle the door into place.

 

Before removing the door, mark the location where the hinge bolts thread into the A pillar, because if you don't...aligning the replaced door can be a real b!tch.

And, make sure the truck is parked on hard level ground.

A pal of mine with a 1955 T-Bird learned this the hard way, had the car on jack stands while he was repainting it. Didn't mark the hinge bolt locations.

It took him 4 days to align the doors and by this time, the new paint surrounding the doors had some chips in it.

It also had a new dent in the right front fender where the owner kicked it in frustration.
