Right on, was the black bushing in yours when you took it apart?

I didn't do it... this truck is new to me. The PO did the kit last year but couldn't remember what orings or anything were with it. I'm guessing he got the $40 kit and thought he didn't need the old bushing and was part of the mod. On the other hand, I really don't know, cause the cover looks new and he seems like the kind of guy to buy the most expensive. Either way it's not in now and really hoping it fixes my issue and didn't damage 1 year old oem injectors he had put in.

That sucks brother, this will definitely fix the pressure issue, let's hope the injectors are ok but I don't have much hope. Just be sure once you reestablish the fuel pressure that if it runs rough and is billowing white smoke don't run it because you could hydrolock the engine with fuel and that is a bad deal.

When you said there was "no rubber bushing" I thought you meant the seal on the brass valve. If you need the black plastic grommet, you have to get the kit with the cover.

Alrighty, I will watch for that. If it seems to run normal will a shop with proper scanners able to check individual injectors for spray output, integrity, etc? I'm have got the name of a couple local shops that are highly reputable and think I want to take it in and have a "once over" done so I know more what I'm working with.

If there is a problem you will know due to rough running and it will be smoking, if it runs smooth all the way up to full operating temp you will be fine.

Cool, well I think I'm good then cause the other day when I started it to check the fuel pressure it didn't smoke and seemed as strong and smooth as it did when I first test drive it... however, I didn't put a load on it.

You can se=till get the part from International the tick is going in with the
correct IH part number. That way they don't hassle you about it.

Anyone have the IH part number handy?

I originally called them and made the mistake of mentioning Ford. Then I found the IH numbers and called back, getting a different sales rep fortunately (even though the first guy didn't seem to give me a hard time about Ford).
The whole kit with the cover and rubber sleeve is the part they said was a restricted item. The oring kit w/spring they could get but was still $70, would take 2 days and I'm sure doesn't have the part I need unfortunately.

Im going to call a guy at a shop I spoke with and see if they might have it as it seems some fuel bowls don't need/use the rubber sleeve. Maybe they have spares around.

You might need to go in and look at the parts sheet to see if it has what you need.
My IH dealer will sell me all the parts so long as I come in with the right IH number.
I think the reason is he also owns a Ford 6.0 and so does one of the mechanics.

So I got the kit, in Diesel Tech Ron's video he puts an oring on the front end of the plastic seat that goes in the fuel bowl. I don't see anyway of getting the seat to go in all the way with that oring on there. Any ideas?

I put it in without the oring, the sleeve fits loose but seemed to be my problem. Going to get a set up for a gauge that I can constantly monitor in the cab and also need a new upper filter cap... it must have a slight crack in it and is wet. Thanks everyone so far!!!
