Here is the valve would thid indicate a bad EGR? I do not drive much wit the truck and it's been sitting for the winter. Black stuff at the tip of the valve was mostly kind of dry / humid, it was humid at the upper portion of the valve as you see and mostly only on one side.

 

I think park nose down overnight then look into the egr valve hole and look for accumulating fluid. That fluid should not be there.

 

Ok, nose down, I will try that, got find a spot to do that. After a test drive cold, between 125 and 160 F, I floored it a couple of time and all I got was 5 PSI. Came back home and after 3/4 hour, I still had 4 PSI.

I did not see any white smoke this time after sitting for the night.

I will do a few more test.

 

For nose down you could just use jack stands on the rear axle.

 

Another test drive: Normal driving, around 7 to 8 PSI at WOT.

Floor it while going uphill, 10 to 12 PSI at WOT, aroutnd 200 F.
