If you suspect an engine issue, connect a scope and monitor the Primary/secondary on the coils and the injectors, record the wave forms for analysis..

This will alleviate the time and cost of throwing parts..

 

ok thanks for this. A couple questions pls. I know i can duplicate the problem at speed under load as it does it on the same road in the same location. How do i retrieve and save the data from the vehicle while im driving it to the extent that it may show an issue? Is there an OB2 that would work well for my DIY purposes? If it is an engine issue and i only get it under aforementioned conditions, would it not stand to reason that the dealer in the shop isn’t going to be able to “duplicate the problem”
