Door Pin/Door Latch/Door Bushing?

I've been googling around but i can't find what i'm looking for because i don't know what the actual term for them is.

On my truck for the door to close, you need to really slam it. If you don't slam it it only half closes and even when it does close all the way if you hit a good enough bump you can hear it kind of bounce around.

On the truck side there's a hex head bolt and there was a plastic bushing around it that the striker on the door latched around. That bushing is totally gone and now it's just metal. I assume that's the problem, but i can't figure out what that bushing piece is called.

I hope i explained that clearly enough.

Also unrelated, but another question i have in regards to cleaning the FPR screen. I don't know if my truck is sluggish or if it's in my head but i've read all about that on here so i figure it can't hurt to clean it.

What are the chances of re-using the old o-ring between the fuel bowl and FPR? I bought one of amazon but it won't be here until next week and i'm driving my truck a bunch this weekend and kind of want to clean it to see if i notice a difference. I'm thinking i should wait?

Once again, thanks for everything guys.

DUH.

I thought the door striker was the piece on the actual door itself. The piece that sort of moves up and down as you push in the button to open/close the door.

I'm sitting here googling everything but that.

Thanks for that.

The latch is on the door. The striker is on the jamb.

Until you get it replaced, you might be able to make it close easier by adjusting the striker. LOOSEN (just one turn) the torx bolt on it, and you'll be able to move it up/down/left/right. See if moving it left (toward the outside of the truck) a bit helps it close easier.

You can go to your local parts house and get the plastic pieces in the help section. Remove the bolt and striker, put new plastic ( which I do not think is plastic ) on and put back on and adjust till happy. Easy fix. Good luck with old o-ring. I would wait.

They're called Torx. IIRC, it's a T-50.
