a easy way to remove rust
some may know about this already. for those of you who do not it,s very simple. take a 5 gal. bucket and put your rusty part in . then fill the the bucket with white vinegar wait about 3-4 days. when you remove your part it will look like the rust is still on there. but all you need to do is take a wire brush and it comes off easy. you do not need to brush hard at all. then prime and paint.

Try the electrolysis method... water, sacrificial steel, a box of washing soda, and a battery charger and the rust disolves over night.
I had a vat going all summer long when I redid my 70....

HIO, maybe post that link? I copied and laminated it, but I don't remember where the link is.

I used a 30-gallon tote for the vat.
For the driveshaft, I mocked up a tub out of fence boards and lined it with plastic sheeting.
During my research, I found an article where a guy built a wood framed tub and vatted an entire frame!!
