F350 140"WB fuel tank.

I have done several searches without finding a definite answer. So, obviously the rear tank on the Camper Special F350s is unique. Other than probably needing to adapt a sending unit from a Bronco II, that tank is working fine on my '79. The midship tank has a large dent and has rust scale inside, to the point I don't think I want to use it even if I cleaned it. My question, is the tank of the F350 the same 20.2 gallon tank that Spectra reproduces? Spectra part number F25B according to Rockauto replaces Ford D8TZ9002K. I see a F25A listed on some sites as well claiming 22.5 gallons but no EEC provisions.

No 1979 or older truck has EEC (Electronic Engine Control system aka onboard computer). The only FoMoCo vehicle that has it prior to 1980: 1979 LTD/Grand Marquis 351W sold new in CA

D8TZ-9002-K (replaced D3TZ-9002-C) .. 20.2 gallon Mid-Ship Fuel Tank-Use with Evaporative Emission (abbrev: Evap/Em).

1973/79 F100/250 Regular Cab 2WD & F350 / 1978 F250 4WD Crew Cab / 1978/79 F350 Regular Cabs on the 140" wheelbase (Camper/Trailer Specials).

1973/79 F350 Regular Cabs on the 140" wheelbase: 1973/76 Super Camper Special; 1973/79 Trailer Special; 1977/79 Camper Special.

Ford dropped 'Super' after 1976.

Thank you again, ND. Good to know that it isn't anything special.

The seller on Amazon I found listing the second Spectra number abbreviated Evaporative Emissions Control as EEC. I mostly see it listed as EVAP, but every car company likes to come up with their own acronyms so I don't get surprised when I see on listed differently somewhere.

EEC .. that some people assume is the abbreviation for the Evaporative Emission System, is a common mistake made here on FTE

One a these days, when someone asks for an EEC related part, I'll give them the part number for the computer!
