F-250 Super Duty Platinum
First time posting just wondering if anyone has had the same issue I'm noticing on my truck.
Im appearing to have rust specs show up all over my truck at first I thought it was dust/dirt but when I went to the car wash I couldn't get it off. It's almost all over my truck it's almost like one of the colors in the Tri-coat is rusting. The rust specs don't seem to be pitted or raised and not stone chips.
Anyone have this issue or something similar with the white platinum 2014?
Thanks

I have 15 white and i noticed it too all over the sides and the tailgate. Hood and roof were clear of them. I thought it could be the metallic from the brake pads or enviromental fallout but my buddy thinks its from the salt /sand mix that's put down in the winter, his silver dodge has it too. I just spent an hour the other day with polishing compound to take it off. It comes off, just requires a bit of elbow grease

My wife's car, white also, spent four years parked within walking distance of the Pacific Ocean while she was in grad school and during it's time there the paint picked up tons of little rust like specs (sometimes referred to as "rail dust") like what the OP is experiencing.
I used claybar, took several runs over the vehicle but that along with some polish and waxing and it looked good as new

The dealership referred to it as Pollution Fallout. When we bought my wife's C class last year the roof had several areas with dark spec's. The detail department used a Clay Bar followed by a Paint Solvent then Washed & Waxed it. The guy's doing the work said it's very common, the only way to prevent it from reoccurring is regular Washing & Waxing. So far, so good.
