The 106 filter is not the right one. It will not fit. Our trucks use the 104 filter.

As I said, I confirmed that the seat 'filters' that came on my truck are just the plastic screen without any filter material. I grabbed the box
(added in edit: actually marked FS-106) for the 'filter' I ordered and received. They are identical to the filters on my truck & did in fact fit. They have the same markings on them (e.g. number string 12013551).

Out of curiosity, I did a parts search on White Bear Lake's site using my VIN. Per the site, the filter EU5Z-19E880-B (FS-106) "replaces" the 7L1Z-19E880-A (FS-104). Using the search function for the old part, it automatically gives you the new part.

The FS-106 filter does in fact fit, is the updated part and is what came on my truck from the factory. I'm not saying it is a better part than the FS-104 but it is what Ford specs now.

I talked to the parts guy at White Bear. They cannot get the 104 any more. The 106 has no filter, just a zip zag of plastic that is supposed to catch enough dirt. He says most of the time IF a 104 is dirty, they just pull out the filter material and put the empty 104 back into the truck.

rickbrad is starting off with a positive reputation.
I am in Houston and would really like to use my cooled seats more, but the seat bottom gets way cooler than the seat back (which is where I sweat through my shirt). I find that uncomfortable (cool, wet nuts syndrome).

Does anyone know the inner workings and if there is a way to choke off the seat bottom and allow more to reach the seat back?
