Do a quick check for leaks and fluid levels. Drive the wheels off.

I drove mine like a 'fraidy cat for the first 50-100 miles then back to normal.

Thanks, guys for your replies. I just got back from Los Angeles, and even though I feel good about the brown truck, I ended up taking the yellow truck.

But the reason had nothing to do with "confidence in the transmission" - it's back to being over 100 degrees, and the yellow truck has "more reliable" air conditioning.

I think the brown truck needs a new blower motor for the heater/AC.
