Does anyone use Torklift's StableLoad Suspension Stabilizers?

Does anyone use Torklift's StableLoad Suspension Stabilizers? I pull a travel traliler that weighs almost 9000#'s and it makes the back end of my truck squat. I was thinking about putting air bags in, but ran across an add for Torklift's StableLoad Suspension Stabilizers, and checked out their website.

Better option or not?

I have a 2016 F250 Crew Cab SLT 4x4 gas.

I'm not running them, but I've seen several happy people on here with them.

I've used them for 2 years now and they keep our 30' 5th wheel level with no squat and riding great. Simple to install and maintain. Best of all, you can easily disengage them when you're not towing. They work as advertised.

My plan was to add airbags if the Stableloads didn't do the job. They worked very well and I didn't see the need for using airbags. Stableloads are as close to a trouble free solution for the load you have as can find. I spray them liberally with Fluid Film and they withstand the winter road salt like new.

I'll add to this, for anyone that's ran timbrens and torquelifts, which did you like better? I know they both work well.

Do Torklift's StableLoad prevent the squatting? If yes, how much higher does the truck sit when there's a load on it than without the StableLoad engaged?

those torquelifts and the optional spacers are expensive.

I once saw someone post a simular concept using metal square stock he had laying around.

I have a few of the 2 1/4" to 2" hitch adapters that I was thinking about using for the DIY version

Are you using a weight distributing hitch and still getting too much sag?

Yes. I probably drop 3 or so inches once the trailer is attached even with the weight distribution hitch.

On Etrailer they're about $60 more than Timbren for my truck. On my 2nd set of Timbrens. Didn't wear 'em out, just forgot and let the last set go with the truck at trade in time.
So far, so good. But I wouldn't rule out the StableLoads in the future.

No more squat when the Stableloads are engaged. They don't raise the bed, only resist the loading by preengaging the helpers. Simple and effective.

JeffDeR1985,
Take a look at Lance Owners of America. Torklift International is one of the supporting sponsors of LOA. I hope this will help.

I just installed hellwigg over leafs on my f-450. Install took 30 minutes. Cost was about 125.

the hellwiggs are 2 extra top springs that move your sag point by 1500lbs.

I carry an ~ 3,500 lbs. truck camper and pull a 3,000 lbs. cargo trailer with approximately 300 lbs. of tongue weight. I needed something to help with sag, stability (sway) and load carrying capacity. I already had the camper package on my truck with additional upper helper spring, a thick anti-sway bar (1-1/8" I believe) and good shocks.

I did extensive research (almost 2 years ... I was in no hurry for the wrong solution) on what modifications would best serve my needs. I do not have StableLoads but I did consider them. The main reason I rejected them is they do not add any additional weight carrying capacity. They simply engaged the suspension sooner and thus, they seem to do a good just with sag and somewhat with sway.

My research helped me decide on installing Sumo Springs. Why? The Sumo Springs I bought (Solo model I believe) added 2,800 lbs. more carrying capacity (not legally of course but practically), they only engage when I have a heavier load (when I'm light loaded they don't assist at all so the ride remains "normal"), they helped stabilize our truck's sway and porpoising when heavy loaded, and ... they reduced my sag from 3.5 inches to just over 1". They were the right solution for me and I couldn't be happier. Click on Rear Sumo Springs in my signature for my write up ... Post # 29 is my summary.
