Upper exhaust pipe bolts from manifold?
I'm trying to drop the exhaust pipe, (on the driver side), away just enough to inspect/replace the gasket between it and the back of the exhaust manifold. (I was about to start working on the exhaust manifold gasket when I could feel exhaust coming out at the seem of the upper pipe. Maybe I get lucky and THIS is my only leak area).
Anyhow, I lathered both nuts/bolts with PB blaster, and then put a torch to one of the bolts ...and snapped it clean off. Moved to the other nut/bolt, same thing.
I have replacements, so I figured "no big deal". But, I cant get the old/broken bolts/studs out. Should I just get a bigger hammer and more PB blaster?
Thanks in advance!
Jay
