Which brake light? The one in the cluster?

There is a fluid level sensor located directly under the reservoir, above the master cylinder. That sensor is notorious for failing, and that problem is common on the F150's. I've seen it many times.

Check that. It's a good place to start.

The sensor is a bit of a pain in the butt to get out without removing the master cylinder. You'll need a flat, thin tool of some sort to push up a tab and slide the sensor out. I have no idea how to test the sensor.

Be prepared, I've replaced those sensors before and the brake light in the cluster was still on. It's kind of a funny quirk with those F150's that you may never find a solution for. Or at least I havent found one...

I was looking on you tube and apparently there is a cluster of wires under the dash at the very top. When they were moved back and forth the light would go on and off. He says that a wire the is rubbing on a metal bracket and is shorting out. This also makes sense.

master cylinder sensor and brake light switch are ON- OFF... to test, all you have to do is disconnect the wire harness.... jumper the plug and light on.. remove and light off... Done even need to test the sensor... but a resistance meter should tell you if it is OPEN or CLOSED.
