the steering is easier to turn but still sways from side to side. dose not wanna stay center.

it takes turns just fine but has a problem returning back to center sometimes.

other times the wheel kinda sticks alittle when bringing it back to center from a sharp full turn

no matter what speed, the wheel moves left to right on its own and cannot be corrected

i figurd it had to be this part since it was pissin from it...
no leakage with new box so i know that leakage is solved but on to this swaying...

HELP!

THANK YOU ALL!
I'm staying with the sticking outer axle U-Joints on one or both sides

...also it's worth mentioning that I replaced my sloppy Redhead steering box with an Autozone rebuilt...the truck steers like brand new, the price was $256.00 including a $70.00 core charge delivered to my door which I'll get back tomorrow when I drop the box off, so $186.00 for the box is a good deal in my book.If it lasts for 19,000 miles it will beat the Redhead which I paid $440.00 for.

Sounds like time for a new hub.
With your 2006 you are sort of stuck if you want to stay with auto hubs.

I found this and it might save you some $$$.

That looks like the set. You have to use the wrong one for this job
do to the splines in the hub getting in the way.

i was also informed by another member to take a pair of long needle nose plyers and grind the tips down

Crescent X2 10 in. Long Reach Pliers-PSX200C - The Home Depot

a pair like them^^^ or cheaper of course.

No, it brakes as it should without effecting the steering.

when it starts to jerk the wheel ill stop and turn the wheel lock to lock a few times and it would help for a second but never lasted just wants to either be going left or right not straight

i came to a complete stop and made a right turn and the steering wheel was almost stuck as if something was aginst the tire not letting it turn then all of a sudden it realeses the preasure in the steering and i hear a clunk and it then begins to turn right just fine and all the way back to center! it was a miricale! as if it were fixed by a goast!

well this lasted for a day then i made a turn and back to wobble riding....

so on my way home i made a left turn on to my street and heard a worse clunk and the truck really started to bounce and shake all over the steering wheel went all over and i thought the wheel was about to straight pop off

now its on jacks lol

thats the best i can describe my adventure

THANKS FOR THE HELP!!!!
