Maudlin Musical Meanderings Of May BS

Beautiful May first out there.

Storms ripped hell outta' the south again, so sayeth' the news. Prayers please.

12 out of a hundred competitors hit the Rez this AM cause they'd got their ***'s blown the hell outta' the water yesterday.

We'll see who comes in with the biggest bass at the weigh in.

No word on if I'm on the agenda of the board of aldermen on the night before elections.

Patience grass hoppa.

Glad it wasn't so bad then.

Weather Service sed 22 spin up tornadoes last weekend.

End of school year has habit of making highways an adventure.

It rubs off on everyone.

Be safe all.

Oh, & may the 4th be with you...

Got some rain Wed and Thurs, I was traveling through it for the most part, the worst that I drove through was around the Houma / Raceland area Wed. afternoon..... Thursday morning I had to drive down to Venice to fly out, wasn't too bad, just a lot of fender benders going around NOLA (nothing out of the ordinary there)....

Y'all have a good one, wife said she was having some pretty weather around Hattiesburg, hope it's the same for all of y'all too!

Hope everyone had a good weekend & your horse won at Church Hill downs & your driver won at Dega'.

If you read the CL, there is an interesting story on the front page about MS Insane Asylum & all the bodies buried over at UMMC...

Most of us have known this for years.

Its making national news though.

Have a good week & don't let nobody chain you up in the attic...

We don't gots basements.

Churchill Downs looked like a good track for my 77 F150 4x4. Glad to see a Mississippi boy win at Dega in a FORD!

For me, working on newer vehicles is basically parts swapping....amazing though, how much damage a freaking $2.00 sensor can have.

A few years ago I had an old '73 CJ-5, power train was 100% original, still had to run lead substitute in the gas, I was having a ground issue, drove me nuts went as far as completely changing the wire harness, still had issues. I broke down and brought it to a auto electric shop, went in and explained the issue, what vehicle I had, etc.....one of the younger techs came out toting a OBD II reader, made me LMAO, I just shut the hood and told them never mind ....

Sold it a year or so later......threw in the ground issue, no extra charge.

But, the difference in that and a "modern" vehicles was like Moses' stone tablets and explorer outlook! It's rare to find an actual mechanic these days

Yes we are. Got reservations & everything.

Unfortunately got a few other things in my way that I've got to get out of my face before I can commit to promotion with a full heart.

Trust me... We haven't forgot.

Well, had my time (sort of) with the board of aldermen who gratefully & fawningly kowtowed the Hysterical District approval of plans that 100% went against 6 hard-line guidelines for new construction in the district...

Thanks guys for looking out for me.

Large # of neighbors on the street polled in the "doesn't matter" category.

8 out of 20 sided with me.

Will just have to wait & see if this monstrosity gets started & completed.

Trying to be a better man (angel on one shoulder) competing with hoping she goes broke & the city tears down unfinished shell (devil on other shoulder).

Guess I get to know itz like to live next to New Orleans hoorhouse...

Terri promising homicide on nearest human if long weekend does not come off.

She's dropping off sick cat at vet for a boarding (almost as $$$ as trip I think ) while friend house sits.

At least I can have a drink, smell salt water walk on a beach, watch sun go down and forget BS for a bit.

Y'all have a good one.
