May discussion on buoyant trucks and entuhlekshual interaction

Evening guys.
Thanks for the links & info all. The biggest problem with my lights are clouded lenses. I've got another set of lights in the garage, but they aren't any better than the ones that are on there now. I'm going to do some research and see if there's a way to polish them out. The need to replace Jesse's car has put a major strain on the budget and dropping $300 on headlight assemblies just isn't feasible at the moment.

1. Get the LMC headlight upgrade harness.
2. Get a headlight polish kit, cheap, easy and works.
3. Get some Sylvania Xtravision headlight bulbs from Auto Zone.
4. Alternate plan to all the above, get 2 ea 4x4 square LED lights and mount them in the grill. Or 1 LED bar light, most farm and ranch stores (Orscheln's?) carry something that works well and are not that much $.

After that (and this sounds crazy) brush on a couple of coats of Pledge with Future floor Wax. Since Future is acrylic, it won't harm the plastic, and will help seal your now polished head lights.
One word of advice. Never, I repeat never, use Rain-X on plastic head lights. Don't ask me how I know.

Thanks for the input guys. I went and got the McGuiars kit and plan using a round of sanding with a coarser grit prior to using it. I've got another headlight harness in the shop that came with the 5.0 that I'm going to look into possibly rewiring into a similar upgrade as the commercial one. Finally, the driving lights are going on.
Before all that, I've got to show the Dangitdontgo (Thanks Chip!) some love.

Might check on amazon. I got both new headlights for my 96 Bronco for around 50$ with bulbs. I think shipping was included. Just put them in last week. May not last long but I thought I would give them a try. Might try to polish the originals
I took out.
Rich I wish my Friday was was on Friday instead of Sat. Also if you find out about getting another Truck cut out like you got out front, I would be interested in at least one and maybe two.

Guys - the McGuiars headlight restoration kit works very well - even with the heavy oxidation. I've got my old passenger side headlight in fair shape. It has a little crud on the inside of the lens, but it is mostly clear and far better than the one currently on the truck. The drivers side headlight currently on the truck came out looking almost new so its staying where it is.
Tonight, I'm planning out what I'm going to need to source for the improved wiring for the headlights. I may just give in and order one if I decide that it will be easier that way. Tomorrow, I'm swapping out the passenger side light and the driving lights I've had sitting on my bench for a few months are going on - once I decide the best mounting location. I really want them under the front bumper, but I'm not sure how practical that would be.
Well, dinner's almost ready...
