After my orthopedic doctor appointment yesterday, I took a walk to the nursing home where I had my rehab last year to borrow their scale. Since my pre-op surgery in February, I have put about 4 pounds back on. Not too bad, but I want to break the habit now before it gets out of control. I think that part of it is with my wife being laid up, I have been going to the kitchen getting everything for her and have been helping myself to more of the snacks than I had been. So once I am healed up and cleared to exercise, then it will be time to get to business.

BTW, you just need to shed your "winter weight" that was caused by all of the beers from football season...lol

 

No, that was too many goodies, and not enough exercise!!


and maybe a beer or two....LOL

Oh, no biggee! It's been going downhill since I had to stop swimming last fall, so I could pick her up everyday!

 

Good evening guys, we are holed up at Indiana Dunes State Park. The rain was hellacious this afternoon. We decided to camp tonight instead of doing the Walmart - Cracker Barrel thing. It is a beautiful park but the weather really sucks. Now to figure out where to head tomorrow. Once we get beyond Chicago traffic should get more manageable. 399 miles for the day in lousy weather and lots of construction.

Thanks Rick. Would be a lovely place if it weren't for the weather. Driving in torrential rain when you don't know quite where you are going and with 3 Lanes of trucks all in a hurry tires you out. I'm pooped and it's only 830 our time and 730 here. Still raining.
