entertaining offerson my kr research running boards .

thinking on changing out my running boards for some custom black ones . will entertain full sale of complete runningboards from my 2017 kr . these are the amp research power retractable ones from ford .. have: a nice nite

IMO. I thought a lot about this.... cause mine will come with the factory ones and I dislike chrome. So I decided a good route to go without spending 1500 on new steps is just have them sand down the chrome on the steps and spray them with bed liner. It'll be black and hold up.

I'm in the same boat as you. I like the power steps, but hate the chrome on the Ford ones. I like the features of the Amp steps better, but I don't like aftermarket wires everywhere under the hood and the Amps take up your OBD II port which I really don't like.

Do the stock power steps have lights to light them up for stepping in?

I know amp
does

No, they do not. At least the ones on my loaner truck do not
