Automatic Transmission Shifter is kind of wonky (lots of play). A mechanic told me to change out the bushings on the shifter and I wondered if there is a thread which might help guide me. The search feature doesn't seem to be all that precise.

Before you mess with the bushings, look under the dash, you should see two torx screws (I forget the size). Tighten these down as mine were way loose and it eliminated all of my play!

You'll have to lay down and look just around to the left of the steering column as you're looking up.

 

I'll do that but the mechanic already did and told me it was the bushings.
