When you say go to local dealer and have the remote start feature turned on inside the truck....is this something we can do using Forscan?

 

After installation, is it possible to not use the perimeter alarm when locking the door in case I am leaving the dogs inside (in the winter of course). In other words, is there an option to use it or not use it?

I have a few questions ... I currently have remote start, I presume it's the standard unit that came from the factory, (ours is a 2011 Lariat, with key fobs that allow us to remote start). That said, will this unit work with ours? Do we have to have anything 'turned on' at the dealership or would it simply be plug and play since we already have remote start? Thank you, in advance, for any assistance you can provide. My apology if this has already been addressed, like I said, I'm new here. Thanks again! I look forward to hearing from you.

 

Yes this kit will work with your 2011, and since you already have factory remote start, it is a simple plug and play install. The only extra step that will need to be taken is for us to activate the sim over the phone once it is installed.

My Super Duty did not come with remote start. I understand this unit will start my truck from my cell phone. Will the unit wait for the truck to finish the glow plug warm up? Can I program a new Ford key fob, with the start button on it to start the truck from up close?
