Fuel leak

I thought I had been smelling Diesel lately, but have been so busy I haven't bothered to look for it. There where no puddles under the truck and fuel mileage seemed about the same.
Last night when I got home the smell was strong and could see fuel on the front driveline and running off the drivers running board.
Open the hood while running and the top of the secondary fuel filter was cracked and spraying all over the engine
I got a new filter installed, and other than a stinky truck, all is well.
I could see that the bad filter was a motorcraft filter, so not a cheap aftermarket one
Has anyone else had there filter crack like this?
Only thing I can think of is someone leaning on it while working under the hood. I know I didn't and the only thing anyone else has been under the hood for was cooling sys check at the dealer.

I can't recall anyone reporting a cracked secondary filter. Odd to have this.

I do hope it is just a isolated case. When I get some time I will put a little pressure on it so I can see exactly where the leak is

I believe there is a plastic tee fitting right there, that has given some problems.

The new filter seems to have stopped the leak. I did also bust the lower filter cover when I tried to remove it. Looks like the o ring didn't get lived on the last filter change. The cover was only $34.00 LIST . The aftermarket was over $40.00. Might just buy a spare.
