4x4 ZF5 + T-Case in 2WD truck

The PCM doesn't control the starter. But if the PCM thinks the phantom transmission is in Park, it would not engage the CC. The terminals for the start circuit on the old trans switch are separate from those for the PCM. If you remove the trans switch, and jumper the start circuit terminals, the engine will still start via the clutch switch, but thee PCM _should_ no longer disengage the cruise.

Bridged the wires from pins 4 and 12, and cruise works! Trans selector is now bypassed completely.
Cruise disengages with the brake, and disengaged twice via clutch. On the third try with the clutch the RPMs shot up and I hit the off button. Not too sure what that was all about, but I'll be looking it up.

Yeah, that would be the two terminals on the clutch switch closer to the driver. Circuit should open with just a light touch of the pedal.
No idea why this is, but I've always noticed that the cruise disengage using the clutch pedal is much more "abrupt" than using the brake pedal. Almost like a hard shift with an autotragic. So I've just gotten into the habit of tapping the brake pedal (just enough to flick the switch) when I want to interrupt the cruise momentarily.
