My 94 f150 with the 302 has knock while idling in gear only. I was thinking it could be a bearing but unsure on which one. I have already checked by rocker arms and made sure my header bolts were tight. If it isn't a bearing what else could it be, I am at a loss here.

 

Put a mechanical oil pressure gauge on and see what kind of pressure you're working with.

 

Auto or Manual trans?

If it were an automatic, then I would tend to believe it maybe the flex plate is cracked or loose torque converter bolts.

Low oil pressure at idle in drive (lower rpm than idle and park). Need rebuild, a high volume oil pump....or, if you're lucky.....just change that oil filter that's been on there for 30,000 miles.
